Near Pod

I made a near pod quiz on netiquette because I think it is so important. I will be sure to keep reminding my students in class to take the quiz at home after learning about netiquette. Be sure to answer every question on the quiz even if you forgot the answer.

Third Grade 3.NF.A- Develop understanding of fractions as numbers.

I made a ThingLink talking all about amphibians and what characteristics they have. This is a fun way for my students to learn more about the facts of amphibians and it also lets them learn at their own pace independently.

I made a Mind Map describing some important facts and information about the Earth and Moon. I talked about their orbits and physical appearances. I want my students to become more familiar with the solar system and how it works. I hope this helps bring a better understanding.

I created an April newsletter. I loved being able to have practice for my future classroom. My monthly newsletters will inform parents of upcoming events, announcements, and things their kids will be working on throughout that month.

I made a Glogster about substance abuse prevention to make my students aware of the short and long term effects of substance abuse. It's important for my students to understand the seriousness of this. These things do not make someone a bad person, it just inhibits them from being their best self. In order for my students to get far in life and achieve their goals they should try to steer clear of substance abuse.

I created a brochure on cyber bullying and some effects that come from it. I want my students to understand how serious it is and that cyber bullying should be reported immediately. I also talk about ways that not only students can help prevent it but parents as well. I believe that by being more informed about cyber bullying we can help lessen the number of students who are effected.

I created a flyer for "Quiet as a Mouse Day." This is going to be a fun/relaxing activity that is based around reading. I am inviting students to bring a parent or grandparent to come read and eat treats with us. I am wanting my students to get familiar with lots of different book styles and to develop a love for reading.

I made a quiz for my reading students that reflects about the book we recently read, Hatchet. The quiz is simple and helps the students to determine specific details from the text. It also helps them make connections and better understand/remember what they read.

This was my first Google doc assignment where I decided to create a "get to know you." The document explains the get to know you activity and ideas on what you put in your bag. I want my students to have fun showing off  the items that represent them and at the same time get to know their classmates.
