I created an April newsletter. I loved being able to have practice for my future classroom. My monthly newsletters will inform parents of upcoming events, announcements, and things their kids will be working on throughout that month.

I made a Prezi describing the different types of poetry with an example of each. I want my students to be able to understand the differences between each type. This Prezi is a fun way for them to be involved and learn at the same time.

4th Grade Reading Literature Standard #5- Explain major differences between poems and refer to the structural elements of poems when writing or speaking about the text.

I made a Glogster about substance abuse prevention to make my students aware of the short and long term effects of substance abuse. It's important for my students to understand the seriousness of this. These things do not make someone a bad person, it just inhibits them from being their best self. In order for my students to get far in life and achieve their goals they should try to steer clear of substance abuse.

Health 3rd Grade Standard #2- The students will adopt health promoting and risk reducing behaviors to prevent substance abuse.

I created a brochure on cyber bullying and some effects that come from it. I want my students to understand how serious it is and that cyber bullying should be reported immediately. I also talk about ways that not only students can help prevent it but parents as well. I believe that by being more informed about cyber bullying we can help lessen the number of students who are effected.
