Bodacious Bulldog

Hello Class!
I hope you are enjoying your break. I just wanted to remind you about your fitness and Bodacious Bulldog goals. Fitness goals: Go for runs, do sit ups, push ups, and stretch, stretch, stretch for the sit and reach. Anytime you go for walks or runs with your family record it. You can bring in up to 10 miles from home. Bodacious Bulldog goals: Create art projects, do book reports, complete 25 service hours, create an invention, take A.R. tests, and learn the school song. I can't wait to talk to each of you and find out what you have been working on. I'll talk to you each next week.

Awesome Week

Last week we had CRT testing. We worked very hard, and we got our chance to "crush" the tests! The Mary Poppin's play was great! Mary Poppins was played by Caitlin, Bert was played by Brock, Hannah was Uncle Albert, Olivia was a narrator, and Jake was Mr. Banks. Allison, Shayla, Kaysia and Nicole were all a part of the chorus. Great job everyone! We have science with Mr. Cleveringa, and we also have Germany with Miss Rawlings. We also had Jump for Heart where we exercised in many ways like jump rope, basketball, and 4-square! We had a great week!

Another Great Week

This week was great. On Monday, the Live Assembly came to our school. It was about living healthy and eating healthy. We had a great time. They were funny and nice. We really should exercise more and eat nutritious meals and snacks. We also have new units. In Mrs. Gorringe's class we drew an astronaut suit, and we are making Zero G candy machines. In Miss Rawlings's class we are studying WWII. We also did a WWI timeline to pass off for our Bodacious Bulldog award. On Tuesday, we played Steal the Flag. It was a lot of fun.

The End of Units

Last week was the end of our units. We had a math test, science test, and social studies test. For the math test, we tried to get good scores so we could find out the secret admirer's identity. A lot of people got 100%! For the science test, we made awesome instruments, recorded them on a podcast, and listened to them. It was a lot of fun and interesting to hear each other. We finished Number the Stars and watched the movie. It was good!! The Riverton Dance Company came for an assembly and showed us their moves. We also had a ledger party on Friday and did a lot of fun activities.

Spring Fun

Last week we had Spring Break. It was fun because we did lot of activities. Some of the activities were seeing the Hannah Montana movie, Easter egg hunts, video games, sleep overs and finding new things! We also wrote speeches and shared them with the class. Some of the kinds of speeches we wrote were informational, humorous, persuasive, graduation and motivational. In science, we learned about vibrations with tuning forks and sound. We also learned about different kinds of warfare in WWI. Thanks for reading this blog.
